It really IS the moon.
There is no name of the moon during the day, it simply remains the moon.
The moon seems to shine at night, because it reflects the light given off by the sun. We can not see the moon's reflection during the day, because the sun light is too bright, but, at night, the moon reflects the light given off by the sun and we can see it.
It is the reflection of the sunlight off the ocean water on earth.
Since the sun has already set on earth when you see the shining moon, the brightly lit moon is just the reflection of the sun's rays off its surface. Sometimes during the day you can see the moon, but generally it is too bright when the sun is up to see the moon's reflected light.

The moon is always in the sky, the reason we can see it at any time is because it reflects the brightness of the sun. During the night the earth revolves so that the sun is on the opposite side of the earth. During the day the sun shines so much brighter than the moon's reflection so we ultimately see the sun first.
