Probably not. The vehicles are manufactired by different companies. But, they may have used the same vendor for alternators so, check the part numbers located on the side of the alternator. If the part numbers are exactly the same then thay are interchangable. Like I said I doubt it but in todays car world Stranger Things have happened.
how to replace the alternator belt of a mitsubishi montero 2000 ?
If it's the same 3.0L engine they put in the 2001 Montero Sport, the alternator is (looking from the front of the engine into the bay) located on the left side of the motor, toward the radiator, down low. It's straight below the power steering pump. There should be a belt that runs from the crankshaft to the alternator. Good luck... I'm on my third in 3 months.
There is not one.
boi bangs
On a 1991 Mitsubishi Montero, the voltage regulator is typically integrated into the alternator. To access it, you'll need to remove the alternator from the engine bay. Once the alternator is out, you can check the regulator, which may be mounted on the back of the alternator or be part of the alternator assembly. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for specific instructions and safety precautions.
Alternator going bad..replace it. Just had the same thing on my 2000 neon
i have a 2002 montero sport i had the same issue i replaced the brake pads first no luck 2 days later i had to replace the alternator after that both lights went off
The alternator will move in and out to tighten the belt and the PS pump will do the same
chit!!
No it will not fit.
The alternator is not adjustable. The computer controls the voltage output.
The alternator belt on a 1998 Dodge Neon is adjusted by loosening the retaining bolts and applying pressure to the side of the alternator with a pry bar. With the belt tight, the alternator can then be bolted down.
