"The cheapest iMac-pro laptop, new, is starting at around $1,199.00 for a 13 inch iMac-pro netbook at the Apple Online Store. You can also ask your sales associate for a student discount if you are in school."
First of all the iMac is not a laptop it is a desktop computer. The cheapest brand new iMac desktop will cost you $1,299. A Macbook Pro laptop sells for $1,199. The cheapest laptop is the Macbook Air which sells for $999. A refurbished iMac or Macbook Pro will sell for around $1,000 and a refurbished Macbook Air will sell for around $850. All these prices are in the U.S. from the Apple Store.
No, you can only get that discount on a new iMac not a refurbished iMac.
I am not exactly sure about the question. I believe that apple is coming out with a new iMac with a core2 quad like in the mac pro. I would imagine that they would implement this in the macbook pro also.
the iMac
Super fast.
The technical specifications of the new iMac depend on which one you buy. There are 21.5" and 27" version which have processors ranging from 2.7GHz to 3.2GHz.
The 2011 iMac does not come with a 3.0 USB port. It has four 2.0 USB ports. The new 2012 iMac does have four 3.0 ports.
You can get a refurbished iMac with full warranty on the Apple website for as little as $999. This is as cheap as it gets for a new iMac. Check the refurbished section and if there is none there check back each day.
Pet Rock
A new iMac comes with 4GB of Ram installed. You can add more at any time.
