Take a look at the coins in your pocket change and see which way the sides are oriented. The U.S. has used the same configuration for about 2 centuries.

What is the value of a 1929 Indian head gold coin and the eagle on the back is upside down?

The eagle is supposed to be upside down. In order to give an accurate estimate of the value of your coin, the denomination must be known. Please examine your coin and then submit a new question with the needed information.

What is the Value of 1928 Gold 2.5 Indian head with upside down eagle?

They are all upside down. Mints often rotate the obverse and reverse sides of the coin so they are 180 degrees apart. Each side appears to be upside down to the other side.

Were the 1915 buffalo head nickels front and backs always upside down?

If I understand the wording of the question the answer is yes, but to be sure lay the coin flat with the heads side up and turn the coin left to right the Buffalo should be upside down on each turn. In fact, all US coins are minted this way so you should be able to do this with anything in your pocket change. NOTE: the coins are called Indian Head and or Buffalo Nickels not buffalo head nickels.

What is the value of a 1935 upside down buffalo nickel?

First make sure your coin really is upside down. All US coins have their reverse side oriented 180º to the front, so the words FIVE CENTS should be near the same point on the back rim of the coin as the top of the Chief's head on the front. If they aren't 180º apart you could have what's called a rotated-die error. These can be moderately valuable but you would need to have your coin inspected in person by someone who deals with error coins. If the coin has the normal orientation found on standard US coins it's worth the same as all other 1935 nickels. Please see the question "What is the value of a 1935 US nickel?" for more information.

How much is a 1972 Half dollar with the eagle upside down on the back worth?

First verify that the back side really is struck upside-down. Hold the coin with Kennedy's face upright. Your fingers should be holding the coin on the right & left sides -- NOT at the top & bottom. Now when you flip the coin over, the Kennedy head becomes upside-down (on the side away from you), and the eagle should be right-side-up facing you. This is known as a "coin turn". If you were holding the coin at the top & bottom when you flip it, the Kennedy head would remain right side up (on the back side), and the eagle would (normally) be upside-down facing you. This is called a "medal turn". If you did the above "coin turn", and the eagle is now upside-down, then you have a rare rotated die error -- perhaps worth hundreds of dollars. If you did the "coin turn" and the eagle is now right-side-up, you have a normal coin.

What is the value of a Liberty quarter with the back eagle upside down?

Upside down is relative to which way you flip the coin. If flipping from top to bottom, the eagle should be upright. If flipping from side to side, the eagle should be upside-down. If the eagle is truly upside down from the way it should be, AND the coin has not been altered, then it could be worth a couple of hundred dollars.
