No, it simply isn't possible with the way the church is organized and operated.

Within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church), the members take turns acting as leaders. The fact that leadership positions rotate among all members means that they dont become obsessed and consumed with power. The congregation leader this year may be in charge of cleaning the building next year, and the music leader may be in charge of the congregation next year.

This also means there is no power or control over anyone else, people act for themselves and are welcome to come and go as they please. A central focus of Mormonism is agency - the idea that people should act for themselves and form their own opinions. A line from the Prophet Joseph Smith is often quoted: "I teach them correct principles and let them govern themselves."

Is Mormonism a community centered around control and conformity while swimming in an ocean of lies and deception where worthiness is acceptance within the clan?

No, it isn't. Mormonism is centered around community and sharing - each person shares in the control and acts independently. Worthiness is defined by the Bible, not by peers. As far as the ocean of lies and deception, that is your opinion, but those who are in Mormonism are not trying to deceive, they honestly believe it.
