The Air Intake Resonator box on a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer is located in the middle of the engine; It's marked with the "Vortec 4200" symbol on the top of it and is made of black ABS plastic.

Simply unscrew the air intake hose from the resonator box. Then look on all 4 sides of the resonator for some bolts. Use a ratchet with an extension to unscrew the bolts, and it pops right off. Did it on my trailblazer to change thee spark plugs (located underneath the resonator box). Hope this helps!

There is no typical PCV valve in these trucks. There is a ventilation tube that is connected to the bottom of the Resonator box that sits on top of the motor. Says "Vortec 4200" on it. When you take the box off to clean the throttle body - yes clean it if you want to correct idle or stumbling when AC is on - you must ensure that it is reconnected along with the fuel Pressure switch vacuum tube.

Anyway the box that says "Vortec 4200" is called the resonator box and covers the coils. It is important to remember that there is a fuel pressure vacuum hose attached near the front drivers side of it and the PCV valve hose connects on the bottom.
