Rotors "out of round" and need to be resurfaced or replaced?
most common reason your car would jerk while on the brakes is that you have warped your rotors. your rotors are what the brake pads grab onto to stop your vehicle. they are made of steel, usually mid-grade, or in some cases low-grade steel. as the rotors heat up and are cooled rapidly they can become out of round. or if the rotors are starting to wear thin, they cannot dissipate heat as efficently as they should, they can warp at this time too. If you have warped rotors, they reak havok on your brake pads. you will have to replace all warped rotors and brake pads as a set.
all cars with abs breaks do this!! but if you feel it in the pedal then you have bad front rotors!!
The dashboard is the main screen, there is no previous screen available. If you mean dashboard as when you press the middle button on your controller. This should not happen, but it may be just a crash.
If the car shakes when you press on the brakes, you probably have warpped brake rotors, and the squeak is probably some worn out front brake pads. I would have your rotors checked and either replaced (which Mercedes highly recommends or re-surfaced)
If you mean when you are coming to a stop, and press on the brakes, you feel a vibration- this most likely means that your brake rotors are warped and need to be turned. If you mean you are already at a full stop, in idle, and you press the brake and feel a vibration- it may mean a vacuum problem in the engine or something like that. So it depends- is it your brakes vibrating, you feel it in the pedal? Or is it your engine suddenly running rough and the whole front end of the car shakes?
The front rotors need to be pressed on, if you know someone with an industrial press you can do it yourself.
press the brakes and then press the start/stop button
you should gently press the brake pedal and gently press the gas pedal, the increase friction will dry the brakes.....
i ment that if the sensor in the dash stays on after i press the brakes and dosent go off till i turn the car back on and dont press the brakes?
Press brakes with firm, hard pressure.
