There is no patron saint of bullying or against bullying.
Parents cannot completely protect their children from bullying, simply because they cannot be at school or on the bus with the children. You can, however, teach your children how to properly respond to bullying. You can visit with your child's school administrators or teachers and learn what steps the school takes to prevent bullying. Visit your child's classroom occasionally. Attend PTA meetings or serve on parent committees that deal with bullying.
A victim of bullying often feels ashamed and/or embarrassed.
There are millions of children affected by cyber bullying. Almost every child who has access to the internet is subject to cyber bullying.

Bullying can happen to anyone. It can happen to you when you're an adult, teen, and elder years.

It is estimated that over 13 million children are cyber bullied. Half a million of children were victims of cyber bullying in Illinois. It is also estimated that 160,000 children missed school because they are afraid of cyber bullying.
