The speedometer signal comes from the rear axle senor on a 1998 and later ram. I can't dispute the above statement....... On vans and trucks with rear- wheel a.b.s.brakes, the a.b.s. sensor is on the rear axle differential, not to be confused with the transmission speed sensor which is on the trans.....On some later model vehicles the manufacturers started using the a.b.s. module to measure vehicle speed, so the trans. speed sensor or vehicle speed sensors may be absent on those later model vehicles.
