The plan of God is revealed to man through His seven annual Holy Day feasts, listed in Leviticus 23.

The feasts aren't just antiquated, meaningless "Jewish" observances for the mere sake of shallow religious ritual... but "prophecies" of actual past, present and future "historical events"... most of which that have yet to see fulfillment.

The first three annual Holy Day observances God commands of His people are the "Passover, the Days of Unleavened Bread and Pentecost."

Jesus "literally" fulfilled the first one when He became "our Passover Lamb sacrificed for us" -- [I Cor.5:7].

The Unleavened Bread is the "Word of God" -- the unembellished Truth [John 17:17]... the Life-giving "bread" that proceedeth out of the mouth of God [Matt.4:4]. The Divine source of Truth that Jesus tells us to "continue in," that we might be His disciples, might learn and know the Truth, that we might become spiritually liberated [John 8:31-32].

As a result of Jesus' overcoming Satan and defeating him... and His ascension into heaven -- the Holy Spirit was sent to His disciples on the day of Pentecost, whereby the long-sealed mysteries of God's Word [the Unleavened Bread] became "illuminated" and understood in the minds and hearts of His saints. Revealed and understood by those whom His Father was calling... as He promised Daniel:

"...for the Words are closed up and sealed TILL THE TIME OF THE END... none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand." (Dan.12:9-10)

These have seen "literal" fulfillment -- as in these last days, our Passover, Jesus Christ, has "stripped away the seals" that once hid God's Truth from men [see Revelation, chapter six].

In these "early" prophecies of God in the "spring of the year," God is reaping the "early harvest" of His Children who have been training to jointly rule the Kingdom of God with Jesus when He finally brings it to the earth. That will be at the end of God's plan at the end of the year at the time of the "more abundant fall harvest."

"...he that overcometh, and keepeth My works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron..." (Rev.2:26).

These first three phases of God's plan have been seeing fulfillment every day since Jesus ascended into heaven. People have "believed" and placed their "faith" in Jesus' blood all these centuries since.

They have had the Unleavened Bread of God's Word revealed by Him to their once-blinded hearts and minds.

And they have been receiving the Wisdom and Understanding of God's Truth through the spirit-nourishing gift of the Holy Spirit ever since that Pentecost.

These first three prophecies of God were... and are... seeing "literal" fulfillment everyday -- until Jesus "literally" returns to earth with the "literal" Kingdom of God to finish the plan of His Father.

The last four annual Holy Day feasts are in the "fall of the year" [at the end of God's plan]. Beginning with the "Feast of Trumpets." Jesus is prophesied to return, "literally," at the "LAST TRUMP."

"...the seventh angel sounded [the seventh and last Trumpet]; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world ARE BECOME THE KINGDOMS OF OUR LORD, and OF HIS CHRIST; and HE SHALL REIGN FOR EVER AND EVER... thou hast taken unto thee thy Great Power, and HAST REIGNED." (Rev.11:15-17)

The "fifth" prophecy is the "Day of Atonement"... when Christ will "literally" bind Satan, lay all the sins of the world that He has been bearing for us upon Satan's head where they have always belonged [see Lev.16]... and banish Satan for a thousand years from influencing the nations during His "literal" thousand year rule. [see Rev.20].

The "sixth" prophecy is the "Feast of Tabernacles" that pictures Jesus' "literal" thousand year rule on earth over the nations.

"...the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee... And the Lord SHALL [literally] BE KING OVER ALL THE EARTH: in that day shall there be One Lord, and His name One." (Zech.14:5-9).

The "seventh" and last prophecy is the "Last Great Day" -- JUDGMENT DAY, that follows on the heels of the thousand year rule.

They are all prophecies of "literal" past, present and future earth-shaking events. They shall all be fulfilled as "literally" as the first three have been and continue to be until Jesus returns. All in due time.

The one thousand year reign of Jesus Christ?

I believe the 1000 year of Christ's reign is in the Book of Revelation, when John saw the vision of the end times, this is after the second coming of Christ. After Christ receives the Saints, he lived with them for a thousand years while the devil is exiled to earth with the wicked.

What is the millennial reign?

The millennial reign is talked about in Revelation 20:1-10. This will be a time when Satan will be bound for a thousand years, meaning he (Satan) will not be able to deceive during this time. But after the thousand years are up, Satan will be loosed for a short time to deceive those who were not called up to Christ in the first resurrection (before the thousand years started). Satan will be allowed to deceive those that were left and those that were left behind (before the thousand years started) will have to decide whether or not to believe the lies of Satan or suffer for the cause of Christ by not going the ways of the world (which will be against the ways of Christ and the Bible). It will be harder for the second group because they will not be grounded in the ways of Christ which is also the ways of the Bible.

Will there be humans in the millennial reign of Christ?

Most certainly, since Jesus Christ, as Lord of all must have people over whom He will reign. This is made clear in the book of Revelation when it refers to who will reign with Him as His 'administrators' over those who will be subject to His perfect and righteous rule (no political corruption, lies, backflips or weakness here). 4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Why was religion so important in 1000 AD?

In Revelation 20:1-3 there is a mention of a thousand-year period of time during which Satan will be bound and Christ and his followers will reign uninhibited:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. 2And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while. (English Standard Version)This passage of Scripture, which is just a portion of the revealed material that Jesus Christ presented to the Apostle John, has been approached from many different perspectives. Some consider this imagery--including the thousand year period--to be taken completely literally while other considered it to be completely symbolic. There are a number of issues which require some kind of interpretive effort, not least of these is the significance of the thousand years. One school of thought is that Jesus will return and then set up a literal thousand year reign (premillennialism). Another camp says that there will be a thousand year reign of Christ prior to his return (postmillennialism). Yet another perspective says that this thousand year reign is not to be taken literally (amillennialism). The significance of 100 A.D. is partially that of the anticipation of how this millennial period is/was going to be played out. The early church was mostly of the premillennial persuasion, since it was difficult for them to perceive that Jesus Christ would tary for that long of a period prior to his return. The medieval and reformation church on the other hand tended to be of the other two points of view.
