Is the world record saltwater crocodile bigger than a hippo?

No. For one, saltwater crocodiles don't live where hippos do, and it's rare for a saltwater to get over 33.3 feet in length, or at least find one and verify it. The highest recorded length of a salty is only around 25 feet long. And really, the length of a croc as absolutely NOTHING to do with how capable it is of killing a larger animal like a hippo!!

∙ 10y agoSaltwater crocodiles are heavier. The average is 720 pounds, and 14 ft. Nile crocodiles average 500 pounds, and 14 ft.

The two normally avoid each other, but adult hippos, especially males, will drive crocs away from the area if the croc appears to become aggressive. Male hippos do kill crocs.
