yes, a apocalypse is a big distruction like the 2012 thing.

No, it's just a story.

Answer:

The word "apocalypse" means nothing more sinister than "disclosure" or "revealing" or "revelation."

The very first words in the text of the last book of The Bible are: "The Revelation (apocalypse) of Jesus Christ..." (Rev.1:1).

In the "parable" that is the Apocalypse, Jesus Christ "discloses" to His servants a series of chronological overlapping prophecies that will occur, leading up to His return to the earth with His Kingdom culminating with Judgment Day, the remaking of the earth and the descent of His Father's throne upon the New Earth in the Holy City, New Jerusalem.

Is the "apocalypse" real? The book of Revelation is real... and the "disclosure" within the book is prophecy, history written in advance.

Jesus says that The Bible is Truth - John 17-17. Some people believe it... most don't. Jesus' "servants" believe it to be True. But the thing about prophecy is that it's not real until its fulfilled.

Another answer: The ride of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse is one of the best known scenes from the book of Revelation. Some are scaredby it. Others are intrigued. While some are frightened by the vision of the four horsemen, it is not designed to scare you. Please see No. 3 2017 Watchtower The Four Horsemen How Their Ride Affects You on Jehovah's Witnesses official website.
