I would say it is a losing battle, you were speeding. The posted speed limit in all states is the maximum speed limit that is allowed on the road. There is no 5 mph grace period, you just got a cop that had a bad day. One thing, is it really worth your time to mess with to try to fight. Get a lawyer, go to traffic school, what ever the state require to get it off of your record. It Amy cost you more money, but it is worth it.
