well, they are basically saying that it is a sin to kill a mockingbird. but this title doesnt really have any relation to the rest of the book. but in the book they do basically consider Tom Robinson a mockingbird because he didnt do anything to anyone but he was still getting punished for doing absouletly nothing, i honestly think that he didnt do it and that it was really Mayella's father, Bob Ewell who hurt her.
