if you do not want to spend lots of money on goddens hats simply go to van and buy some bodigizers. Then go into the mine when you get to a floor with lots of monsters save and turn the DS off then turn it back onand the monsters are gone. If you run out of stamina drink a bodigizer.

There are several types of ores in Harvest Moon DS. Bronze, Silver and Gold are the main ones which can be found in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd mine, not sure about the 4th mine. There is also Mystril which can be found in the 2nd and 3rd mine, again not sure about the 4th mine. Hope this helps. :)
