it depends i got universal remote ($30), to program it is about 60-70 bucks at dealership ( just remember if you want to get more remote controls you have to program it at the same time). to get one remote control at dealership they told me it will be about !!! 200 dollars!!! . key on the other hand i order it from website and paid 12 dollars (the one with the chip) and got it cut for free
check the chip in the ign key. Try another key if available
you can copy any key, but, if the key has a "chip" in it you will have to take it to the dealer to get a copy made. I drive a 2004 F-150 and it has a chip in it.
