You're best option is to go through a RN-BSN bridge program. These courses can often be done partially on line and take a little over a year to complete.
One can take business communication courses either online or at a regular college. Many people prefer the online method due to their already busy schedule and it is a little less expensive than a traditional college.

Nursing is always a good profession to choose because there will always be a need for nurses in society. The job industry is down and nursing jobs are a little less attainable than before but there are still many opportunities for nursing positions that will give you a life long ability to help people. You might think that there are a lot of people taking up nursing courses nowadays. It is true but the supply we have are still not enough to fill all the demands for nurses.
Usually associates degrees require 5 or 6 classes for a year or two but those are typically a lot of general education and little in your field. Today, most nursing companies like to see nurses with bachelor degrees in their field. This would require 2 additional years of a schooling. 5 or 6 classes is for a full time student however. If you are going to school part time your class schedule would lessen to accommodate your lifestyle.
You should go to a community college for a masters degree for becoming a OTA. This is taking a little while to get.
Many students apply for nursing today. In comparison, few graduate. One major reasons is taking too much on too soon, thus overloading themselves. This is just a recommendation. I have handled the admissions and coordination of nursing programs for many years. Take the appropriate prerequisites, at all times, and do not overload yourself. You will give yourself more of an advantage. In addition, try to complete all the sciences courses and as much of the other general education courses as possible. Once you enter the professional phase of the program, you want to concentrate on nursing with as little interference from other courses. You will be more likely to finish the program in good form. Nursing is one of the most intensive programs a student can hope to finish in good form. Give yourself every advantage.
