No, there is an ignition controller but it is not a computer like that used on later model vehicles. The controller is MUCH simpler and lower in cost. If you have a US car the ubit has a Lamda sensor (Oxygen sensor) with added controller parts (frequesncy valve) on the CIS-E injection system. There is also a mixture controller added to the fuel distributor that fine tunes fuel injection rate to the exhaust gas data.
