First thing Is There Is No Water In An Altenater. ... But it Does sound Like the Heater Hose Is leaking and it is located Under The Intake Manifold on the 4.6 Engine And It is running Down Front Of moptor The Only Way to Repair This Is to Remove The Intake Manifold.....:)
i had the same problem-yesterday i changed the gasget on the windsheild. seemed to work...
it could be a leak coming from the chamber behind the water pump just beneath the exhaust manifold. too much labor
Just changed one today. It is behind the alternator. If you disconnect the top alternator bolt and then the lead to the alternator, and loosen the bottom bolt, you can swing the alternator towards the passenger side and see the sensor. You obviously have to remove the serpentine belt to move the alternator. have fun jjs
