If the electronic locks work by the buttons in the car , its probably the remote . The remotes have to activated by accessing the cars onboard computor.
Yes, there is a remote fob fuse, and the guide to the fuses is on the fuse box door. However, the reason the remote didn't work in the first place had nothing to do with dead batteries or fuses. The remote fob needed to be "reset," directions for which are hidden deep inside the owners' manual.
Unknown if you are referring to the keychain 'remote' or the vehicle switch. If the remote: Check the battery in the remote for need of replacement, if it still doesn't work, check the fuse for the auto locks in the vehicle fuse box. If the vehicle switch: check the auto lock fuse in the fuse box, if good then the switch itself is bad.
bad wire or actuator
No
No a fuse cannot cause this situation either a transmitter problem or another keyless security issue.
the batterys in your keyless remote may need to be changed
its the fuse
Fuse.
I had this happen on my 2003 and it was just a fuse. The fuse was in a fuse block under the hood on the driver's side of the truck. I don't remember what it was labeled but it said something that made me look at it. Hope this helps.
You either have to hit it with the Remote Electrical Discharge gadget, or if the fuse box is somehow blocked from that, then you need to throw a remote Batarang through an elecrical arc and pilot it into the fuse box.
If you are unsure of the remote wire, locate your radio fuse and get a fuse connector. hook it into the fuse and run it wherever you need it. all the remote does is swith the equipment on and off.
Is it plugged in? (plug it in) Does anything else work if plugged in to the same outlet? (check the fuse) Have you lost the remote? (get up and push the power button)
