How about one better.... If you're on probation and facing jail time, just hold off on the drugs for a little while...
Generally, however they're only good for detecting recent drug use, usually with the last 12-24 hours. That is why they're most often used by employers and insurance companies as a cheap and effective "surprise" drug testing method.

Oxycontin is a synthetic opiate. Unless you're taking an extensive drug test "army/some other government positions" Oxycontin will not show up on a standard drug test.
