You amplify by getting a microphone and speakers. Once you have played into the microphone i then amplifies into the speaker and a louder volume is created

What you most likely need to do is this:1. In the bottem right hand corner there is a small icon of a speaker (generally you click this to change the volume), Click it to open.2. You should see a bunch of different volume controls3. Click options at the top of the window where file, edit, etc. is normally located4. You should see a bunch of things that are checked and unchecked... Check the box toward the bottem that says mic volume5. Go back to the main screen (The one that was on steps one and two)6. In the System Preferences select Sound and then click Input tab. Select your webcam in the list and adjust the Input volume slider. If your webcam is not listed it is probably using the Built in Internal microphone so select that from the list and adjust the volume as required.
