Is huntingtons a chromosomal or a genetic disease?
Hungtington's disease is a dominant mutation in the gene that codes for the protein 'Huntington' It only affects a single gene, the remainder of the chromosome is unaffected and therefore it is not a chromosomal abnormality

Over the recent years the medical world have been testing new technologies for detecting scoliosis through DNA. They have also been testing new rod systems and trying to find a link between scoliosis and genes. They think CHD7 could be the gene which carries scoliosis, although this has not been confirmed

No, it is an incurable autoimmune disease. There appears to be some genetic link between family members developing the disease.
Is osteoporosis relative to scoliosis?
Osteoporosis can result in bony degeneration which can then result in what is called degenerative Scoliosis in adults. There does not have to be any genetic link in that type of case.

What is scoliosis?
From the Mayo Clinic (see related link): Scoliosis is a sideways curvature of the spine that occurs most often during the growth spurt just before puberty. While scoliosis can be caused by conditions and birth defects such as Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy and Spina Bifida (which I was born with), the cause of most scoliosis is unknown. Some with mild cases of Scoliosis are only monitored for progression while others may require bracing. In severe cases surgery may be required.

Are scoliosis back braces hard to get use to?
Yes, I'm 13 and have had scoliosis for almost 2 years now. Bracing does NOT work. It just makes it worse until you get surgery then your life is like hell. The link helped my scoliosis a lot. I swear it's all worth it.
