My father was captured in 1943 by the Germans and shipped to northern Greece to a POW camp. He was captured near the town of Nevesinje. The POW camp was near Salonkia, Greece.

American Officers (after invading Germany) made the German Officers put bodies of many of the dead Jews onto trucks or dig mass graves for the bodies. They did this simply because they were so disgusted at the degradation the Jews had to go through.
