I saw what I thought was a white slug but after picking it up and examining it, it was not slimy. I then realized it was a moth. It was very white with black protuberances that looked like snail antennae. It also has some black on the ridge of the back which was probably the wings folded up.

Depending on where you are, there's a good chance you observed a hummingbird moth. It looks a lot like a large bee but flies and looks like a small hummingird with a bee body. Google hummingbird moth for pictures.

The Ladyfinger moth has a black or brown body and pink wings. This species of moth happens to look like a wasp.
The caterpillar for the Dasychira Pudibunda moth resembles a sponge. This caterpillar is yellow and from a distance looks like a very small sponge.
These are called Phyllium (in latin and French, I don't know the English word but I think it is Phyllium too)
The accepted scientific name is Natada nasoni.
It is dry ice or moth ball. Place moth balls on the foor it looks like its melting but its really going through sublimation
