Australia has no operating power reactors. The reactor at Lucas Heights is run as a scientific apparatus, manufacturing radioisotopes for use in industry and medicine. The neutron beam is used for a wide variety of applications. Check out Lucas Heights Reactor in an on line encyclopedia.

Uranium ore is mined in Australia, and is sent to many customers for ultimate use as fuel rods in fission reactors.
