As far as I know Worldwildlife.org is a place where you can adopt over 100 endangered Species like Sea Turtles, Polar Bears, even Monarch Butterflies for $25 depending on what you want to get with the adoption like a stuffed animal (which is $50+). Hope that helps answer your question.

You can adopt puppies from a local animal shelter for free. The ASPCA website will provide locations in your area where you can adopt a rescued dog if you are qualified.
There is not a place to where you can get a Afican Grey for free. This is a type of bird.
It currently costs £150 to adopt an adult dog and £200 to adopt a puppy.
It is impossible anymore.... which really stinks. You can ask for a gift card for your birthday or Christmas or Easter or something.
Because animals have feelings and are getting killed. Would you like it if an endangered animal ate you?
You can get pets from the ASPCA, any local or county shelter, or from newspaper ads offering free puppies or kittens.
Many organizations have a symbolic "Adopt a Wale" program to raise money, but you get no rights to whale ownership. There is no requirement for you to pay any money to adopt a whale; feel free to do so, but understand that you will have no ownership rights to the whale.
It is difficult to find a place that will allow you to adopt a puppy for free all the time. However, the Animal Rescue League based in Boston sometimes will offer promotions that will allow interested candidates to take home free pets (more specifically, the "Race to Rescue" event).
Just collect and save money in Adopt Me!
No shelter will allow you to adopt for free. The newspaper and Craigslist, however, are overflowing with ads for free cats and kittens.
