Sadly, since Gary is one of my favorite names, the name 'Gary' is not a saint's name...as of yet.At least not according to either the Catholic or Eastern Orthodox faiths.Protestant and Anglican researches have turned up nothing as yet on the name.
There is a St. Garai(pronounced the same) who's feast day is November 1st.But I do not know enough about the saint or meaning of the name to tell if Garai and Gary are interchangeable . The name Gary means 'mighty spear' and I hear that there's both a Germanic and Celtic origen of the name.Garrett,Garth and Gareth are derivatives of the name.
I suppose that being with all the people who lived before us and will live after us that a ''Saint Gary'' is probably out there............ somewhere, just unknown and/or unrecognised.
