I doubt that I'm right, but the song does tell the story about a girl who is leaving home: "Wednesday mornig at five o'clock as the day begins, Slightly closing her bedroom door, Leaving the note that she hope would say more She goes downstairs to the kitchen clutching her hankerchief..." and it goes on. It's much older than the song you mentionned. In 1967 to be exact. It appeared on Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band.
