There is also a beautiful song by Alison Krauss called "Jacob's Dream" on her LP "A Hundred Miles or More..."It is done in the bluegrass style but I'm not sure if it is the same song or tune as done by the Cox Family.
** You are most likely to find the song by Alison Krauss "Jacob's Dream." I researched it and I do not believe The Cox Family has a song. The only reason there is to believe The Cox Family is related to the song is because the two lost boys' last name was Cox. I should know, Jacob Dibert, who found the boys, is one of my ancestor's siblings.
"On Top of Spaghetti" is a ballad and children's song written and originally performed by folk singer Tom Glazer with the Do-Re-Mi Children's Chorus in 1963. The song is sung to the tune of "On Top Of Old Smokey". The song is essentially the tale of a meatball that was lost when "somebody sneezed". The song discusses what happens to the meatball after it falls off of the spaghetti and becomes lost
