Yes there is. On the 1987 thru 1995 models the switch is located on the left side of the steering column. Its multi function controling the wiper/washer, turn signal and dimmer switch.
The switch is located on the steering column right before it exits the cab.
The place you stick the ignition key into is really just a lock cylinder with a rod attached to it. The rod runs down the steering column to the real electrical ignition switch, which is located on top of the steering column, often blocked (on purpose) by the brackets for power brake and/or steering column support. If you are sitting normally in the driver's seat, feet on the pedals, the switch is located over your shoe laces. Replacement of the ignition switch often involves lowering or removing the steering column. Remember to unhook the negative battery terminal before starting work. The switch is hard to get to, in order to discourage car thieves.
You do have to take the steering column apart including the air bags. Due to the possiblilty of deploying the air bags and the complicated steering column, I suggest you take it to a garage.
Inside the steering column behind (connected too) the ignition key switch

Your multi function switch is mounted inside your steering column cover The turn signal lever is part of the multi function switch , as is the hazard flasher switch - these are visible outside of the steering column cover Your turn signal lever / multi function switch operates : - turn signals - high beams - flash to pass - windshield wipers - windshield washer
Behind the steering wheel, you have to take off the plastic housing off of the steering column and it will be on the top behind the multifunction switch ... it's kinda long and square.. Pull the rubber plugs surrounding the turn signal switch arm and windshield wiper switch arm. Remove the two screws from the bottom of the steering column. There are clips built into the sides of the steering column housing top and bottom halfs that hold it together. You can use a long, skinny, flat screw driver to help separate the clips and the houseing will come apart. Lift the top steering column cover up off the hazard lights button and there will be the turn signal flasher unit.
This is part of the multi-function switch on the steering column. See "Related Questions" below for more details on replacing it.
