At the back of the seat, move the seat all the way forward to access them...
All the newer Trailblazers like your 2005 take 7 quarts. That is with a new oil filter.
You can not remove the third seat. You can remove the second seat and slide the third seat into it's position to get more room in the back. You can also put the third seat in the upright position and move it all the way to the front for more cargo room.
I can say that not all 2002 Trailblazers. We have an LTZ that doesn't have them. If I remember right, they may have been a factory/dealer installed option as I think it refers to them in the manual.
1964 first generation to 1983 forth generation all came with available bench seat
2004-2009 is all same design/size. yes yo can add the third row seat. the only difference is 1 full seat or dual folding seats.

There are five steps on how to remove the back seat in a 1997 Chevy Malibu. Some of the step-by-step instructions are open the trunk lid, pull the top portion of the backseat all the way down, and then pull the top portion of the backseat all the way down and locate the hinges from which the seat pivots.
Not all of them pull down but the ones that do have a strap on each side of the back of the rear seat that will pull it down.
