No. You must drop the pan. You can get the whole kit at any Auto Parts Store. Make sure you use a Torque Wrench when putting the bolts back in. You can rent those from most Auto Parts stores too.
Unfortunately there is no drainplug on an automatic transmission fluid pan ( unless an after market drain plug has been installed ) You have to drop the pan

If you are reffering to the Transmission drain-plug, then it will be a bolt that is not holding anything that is on your transmission, much like an oil drain-plug. but with some carsyouneed to suck it out from a plug on the top of the transmission.

Sorry, as far as I know there is no drain plug for the converter. According to the service manual, the drain plug is located on the converter assembly. Just looked at my spare transmission from the 93 Grand Marquis and I can see the plug on the converter assembly. Turning the assembly will rotate the drain plug to the converter housing access plug which is visible from under the vehicle. Hope this helps.
they dont have a drain plug in order to change fluid you have to take off the trans pan.
