There is currently a vaccine, did you know during the revolutionary War when George Washington became commander he was fighting the British which we all know. But he was also fighting smallpox so he inoculated all of the American troops by a infected troop. So basically George Washington pulled off the first massive state funded immunization in American history.

yes there is in the early 1700's Dr. Edward Jenner had discovered that cows had cowpox so he got some cow pox and tested it on a local boy who then became ill for a few days but then after that he had became immune to smallpox!
