There is a point to using WikiAnswers because questions do get answered. I know it might not always seem that way, but questions do get answered by other users that care. Do you need proof? You have this question. It just got answered.yeah but when you send questions to yhe community they don't get answered!
No. It has no way of knowing your previous (unregistered) contributions.
Not all of them, of course- the answers could be written by anybody, and there are many dedicated members of WikiAnswers that contribute in this way. Chris Whitten has answered some questions though.
There are two places to answer questions on the site. First there is, under "site tools", you can click WikiAnswers for the recent questions. The other way is to go to "browse categories" and go to your favorite category. Then you would just press on the link to the unanswered questions.
Check your watchlist, or if you have opted to receive updates by email, just check your email, this is the quickest way.

If you cllick on "my contributions" you can see what you've done while you were logged in. It won't show anything you've done while you weren't logged in.
