There is a point to using WikiAnswers because questions do get answered. I know it might not always seem that way, but questions do get answered by other users that care. Do you need proof? You have this question. It just got answered.yeah but when you send questions to yhe community they don't get answered!
No. It has no way of knowing your previous (unregistered) contributions.
Not all of them, of course- the answers could be written by anybody, and there are many dedicated members of WikiAnswers that contribute in this way. Chris Whitten has answered some questions though.
There are two places to answer questions on the site. First there is, under "site tools", you can click WikiAnswers for the recent questions. The other way is to go to "browse categories" and go to your favorite category. Then you would just press on the link to the unanswered questions.
Check your watchlist, or if you have opted to receive updates by email, just check your email, this is the quickest way.
Go to category pages and see which questions are the most popular (they will be at the top). Another category that might interest you is the Most Amusing Questions Ever Asked on WikiAnswers category. You can also follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook for a daily feed of interesting questions.

because its a fun knowlegable way
WikiAnswers has the collective knowledge of every person on the internet who is kind enough to answer another persons question. We have Millions of answered questions so think of all the good will being focused your way.
If you cllick on "my contributions" you can see what you've done while you were logged in. It won't show anything you've done while you weren't logged in.
Actually, you'll learn more if you search it for yourself. This is not usually the way questions are answered on WikiAnswers, however, in your case, this is an appropriate answer.
The reason most questions on WikiAnswers are unanswered is because there just aren't enough people willing to answer. We have a team of over 500 volunteer Supervisors who are constantly checking the site, and will answer from time-to-time when they are not busy. But other than that, we have to rely on the knowledge of our wonderful Contributors that have made WikiAnswers what it is today. We have recently calculated that if every registered user on WikiAnswers answered just three questions then all of our questions would become answered! Amazingly we are heading that way slowly but surely. Aside from that, people ask hard to read questions, or are not specific enough. One unspecific question is: Is a gerbil better than a hamster? Well, in what way? Cleaning its fur? Eating? Dressing in drag and doing the hula?
