The only way is to cloture the filibuster. To do so, at least 3/5 (60 senators) of the Senate must agree.
A polite way of saying "shut the f*** up".
shut up is a way to express somebody's feelings in a way that person wants to.
the Cloture rule
It would be Three-fifths of the Senate, or 60 members who vote against it.
As of October 2023, the cloture vote process in the Senate, which is used to shut off a filibuster, has not been fundamentally changed. The standard procedure still requires a supermajority of 60 votes to invoke cloture on most legislation. However, there have been discussions and proposals regarding potential reforms to the filibuster, but no significant changes have been implemented.
Call for cloture
Filibuster
...A Filibuster?
I pretty sure it is by a cloture vote.
A nice way to tell a fiend to shut up is to say,"Be quiet" or "can you please stop talking to me." If you tell them in a rude way, then they will most likely not want to be your friend anymore. So if you want to tell a friend to shut up, then tell them in a nice, pleasant way.
A filibuster is working in that way that as long as they (senators) talk they can't vote, so the drag it out by just talking. It is an attempt to "talk a bill to death"
