Right above the license plate is a hole covered by a rubber gasket. Move the gasket out of the way and there is a key hole hidden under that.
Get a new one from "rockautoparts" over the Internet for about $40.00. There's no other way around it. The labor is about 1 1/2 hours.
You have to remove the balancer from the crank pulley. There are 4 13mm bolts holding it on. The easiest way is to remove the tire and inner fender tub.
take to the dealer to check , best way to fix good lucky
dealers can do it - they have a way to get in from the engine compartment but won't share how it is done :(
There is no inside "trunk" - rear hatch release button on the Windstar. The only way to open it is at the rear hatch itself.
I just did a 2002 s80 and the four rivets that hold the door handle have to come out because their is a rivet behind it holding the regulator. It's not a fun job but it can be done. The speaker has to come out as well in order to lock the glass in. I don't know where your from but if you leave a way to call you i could explain any questions you have(I replace glass for a living). You are going to need to reset the regulator motor for the auto up.
Best way that I found to over-ride it is to unlock all the doors and the trunk via the trunk lock. ... sounds odd but this works! J.C.
has anyone put the key in the ignition the wrong way and can't get it out
Check engine light means there is something not operating how it is suppose to. I highly suggest you take it to a mechanic and have it checked out before the repair bill gets way to high With my S80 t6, it was a cylinder misfiring. I pulled the spark plugs and found the bad one. I put new plugs in and a new coil pack where the bad plug was and it runs great.
in the glove box there is a button to open the trunk
Many cars are programmed so that the RPMs in park/neutral are limited. My wife's S80 behaves that way -- can't bring it above 4500RPM in P or N. You need to check it out on the road, not when parked.
There isn't a way to get into the trunk from the back seats. The latches for the back seats are in the trunk.
