"No, in Guitar Hero 2 it was a glitch which people found out. In guitar hero 3, they fixed it.

no. you can only put custom songs on gh2
yes
As you have Guitar Hero 3 on the PS2, you aren't able to get custom songs, however, if you have guitar hero 2, you are able to put the disk (assuming it's a proper copy) and in your computer. Youtube can help with this, but you can use "scorehero". Look that up on google. :)
No. How do you expect Guitar Hero to make any money off of download-able songs if people can just play their own?
You can't.
A "custom song" in Guitar Hero refers to a song that is not included in the original setlist. Many users are able to create their own note charts for songs of their choice, and put them into the game through many programs that are available on the Internet.
Guitar Hero 3 has no DLC, if you wanted to put new songs on it you'd have to hack it somehow which is illegal. The new Guitar Hero: World Tour has DLC though, you'll be able to download songs onto and play songs from your SD cards (they will probably let you download all the songs from the previous games).

you cant in rock band... you will be able to in guitar hero 4 when it comes out in Ocotober You can on Rock Band 2, as long as you have a PS3 or XBOX 360 with songs on them
I dont believe so. I have a aerosmith from the guitar hero series it works for rock band but i dont think the rock band guitars work for guitar hero.
There is no Xbox Live multiplayer for Guitar Hero 2. But you should still be able to sign into live if you have all of the updates for Guitar Hero 2.
