Well, if you use the lastes AIM software or AIM express, it will tell you how many people's buddy lists you are on. However, it does not tell you whose you're on, sadly.
You send it to yourself. It should be somewhere on your old buddy list. :)
Are you talking about aim? well if that's what you mean you add the buddy on your buddy list that you want on your list then you click on the buddy's screen name and there you go! hope this helps =]
Actually, you can't delete an AIM acount or screen name. It's impossible. But if you don't you screen name, just tell your friends to delete you off there buddy list and delete all your friends, and never use your screen name again. That's what I did.
You ask your friends for their "screen name" then you press the add budy icon and type in the name they give you. When they are on it will show up on your aim buddy list. There is a free site called VideoChatBuddyFinder.com you can search find and add new friends on 8 of the major instant messengers including aim
If you have aim 6.0 go to the bottom of your buddy list where there is a +/- and click it . then press add buddy!
To add a buddy on Ichat you click the plus on the bottom of your aim buddy list and type the name of the buddy you want to add. Hope this helps(:
You can easily find out by entering your friends' AIM usernames into an AIM status checker such as http://www.imcheck.com/index.php. A less time-consuming method would be to export your buddy list, and import it to a new screen name. You could then switch between screen names to check the differences.
Log on to one of your screen names. Then press F7 (settings.) then go to buddy list settings. then click on "manage linked screen names." then click on "add a screen name," type in the username and password, and you're all set. Another way to go is to use meebo.com. you can log one onto regular aim or aim express and log the other onto meebo.
you probably arent singed in. or you can go to aol.com and then sign in to the mail and type in your AIM screename. it will take you to aim basic mail and you can then accses the buddy list then!
To find your buddy list on aim, you will need to first log onto AOL. Select the â??Membersâ?? menu and select â??Buddy Listâ??. The â??Buddy Listsâ?? dialog box will appear.,
The best way would probably be to ask a friend (or multiple friends) to put this person on their buddy list, and if they see the person online, let you know. When they do, you can see if they appear on your buddy list. If so, they have not blocked you. If their name is not there, then they have blocked you. You can also do this yourself by creating a new screen name, adding the person to your new buddy list, and linking your two screen names (edit>settings>buddy list>linked screen names) so they are both online at once. Note that this will only work if the person does not have settings where only his or her friends can see the screen name's online status. You can also use > http://www.buddycheckscript.com/index.php to see if they are online. This will tell you when they are online, mobile, or offline. If they are online or mobile, and you don't see them in your buddy box, then you more than likely Blocked.
Mine transferred over just fine since your buddylist isn't saved to your computer or even a specific version of aim, but remember you can always backup your buddy list before upgrading aim by going to file --> save buddy list... doesn't help you recover the buddies you lost but it will prevent the situation from ever happening again.
