Is there a way to turn one wireless router into a receiving antenna for another to get wireless Internet to an xbox in a different area of the house so there isn't a need to buy the 100 Xbox antena?

It depends on your router. Generally you can turn on a wireless sharing option. It could also be called access point on some brands. It's a setting designed for those who have wireless internet in their city and want a wired connection. This setting should work for you as long as you set it up correctly. Of course, there are many variables, so check your documentation that comes with your router.
