The engine block coolant drain plug on a 350 Chevy Tahoe is above the oil pan, mid engine on driver's side
Almost right above the tail pipe on the rear passenger side
YES The above answer is right. But the problem is that you will have to change the 97 computer, fuel pump, Engine and transmission wireing harness. You will also have to put the 700R4 transmission in that 97 Tahoe. Reason being is that the 91 computer that you HAVE to use won't shift the 4L60E that's in the Tahoe now. Your best bet is to put a VORTEC back in the Tahoe.
It is behind the starter. You will need to remove starter to get to it. I WOULD CHECK TO SEE IF IT IS NOT IN FRONT OF THE OIL PAN 1ST, BOTTOM OF TIMING CHAIN COVER.. MY 1999 CHEVY TAHOE 5.7 IS LOCATED THERE... EVERYONE TOLD ME ALSO THAT IS WAS ABOVE THE STARTER. AND AFTER TAKING IT OUT . IT WAS NOT THERE;...
