If I paint a feature wall in my living room do I paint the same wall in the through dining room?

If the two walls are of a continuous piece, it is easiest to continue the colour throughout, however if the walls are divided, say by an archway or some other architectural feature then you are into personal taste area. I personally prefer to use a feature wall colour in a place where it does not extend into another room. That may be because I have a preference for saturated colours and too much of them can be hard for some people to live with. Most recently I painted a client's living room - dining room with a light blue-grey, the two rooms were divided by an archway with french doors in it, so on the dining room side I painted the archway wall a deep saturated sapphire blue. It compliment her dinning room artwork, linens and dishes. Then I painted the living room side of the archway wall in a medium, darkish grey (the same as the other walls but four steps darker on the colour chart), to pick up the colours in her carpet and upholstered furniture. You can't see the dark colours from the other room, but both are enhanced by the technique.

Which wall should be painted the accent color in a rectangular room with a closet at one short end the long walls have two windows one side and the doorway on the other is opposite of the closet?

Well it depends, do u have a rocking chair in the corner by the winkdow or a ceiling fan? If so the accent colored wall should be the empty one. But if u have a vase of flowers on ur coffee table by the closet,it depends on what color the flowers are. If they're red blue or green it should be the wall with the closet. If they're any other color and its summer time it should be the wall with the windows. And lets see if u add another window it could also change the effect of the rooms atmosphere, so u wouldn't want an accent colored wall.AnswerChoosing the wall the accent is a matter of guesswork, unless you are using some other ideas to set up the room, such as Feng Shui, or trying to make the room appear wider than it is. I painted the long wall that did not have a wall unit on it a periwinkle blue and it warms up the room--better than all beige or making the entire room the same color. A friend of mine used a dark brown on one end wall to make the room look wider. Of course, windows and doors will entail carefully painting the edges. A bare wall may require two coats to evenly cover the area without streaking.

What is the difference between a plan and a sketch?

A sketch is a drawing, particularly a quick drawing that is not completely detailed. A plan can be a drawing of a building's design, showing where the rooms are, the halls are, the doors are, and so forth. So a sketch could be of a plan, but plans can be other things as well. The most common use of the word plan is to mean a sequence of actions that one has decided upon, such as, first I will have dinner, then I go for a walk, then I will watch television, then I will go to bed. That would be a fairly simple and mundane plan, but still a plan.
