There are no infinite tools in minecraft (except your hand). The closest to infinite would be a diamond shovel which gives you 1562 uses.
Some item can sub for another tool without them breaking. Try using a feather for soft block( sand, drt, or gravel ) instead of a shovel or harving crop. But when it comes to hard block then you need pick, which all picks breaks.
