Being able to turn itself off wouldn't do anything. The food would continue to burn because the heat stays in the oven for a while before dissipating.

when an oven is on bake the oven stays on all the time till you turn it off. On T-bake or Timed bake the oven will stay on when whatever amount of time you have set elapses the oven will turn itself off.
