∙ 12y agoMost early Norman castles in Ireland and England were Mottes and Baileys, fortresses built of mounded earth and some mounds still exist today. Stonework Castles still remain from that Norman era, the most famous being the White Tower in the Tower of London Complex.
Wales - Chepstow Castle, Pembroke, CardiffAbergavenny,Caephilly,Tretower,Kidwelly
England - Caen Castle,Falaise,Castle Frome
To name just a few, all a very good examples of Norman castles in existence today.
