Yes, there are. The most important ones are located in the north of Chile.

The oldest mummy in the world was discovered on Chinchorro Beach in Arica in 2005, and belonged to a group of fishermen who began to develop sophisticated mummification processes around 5000 B.C.

There are sites near Arica, Iquique, Calama and San Pedro de Atacama.

In the south, near Puerto Montt, is Monte Verde, the site where they discovered the oldest human remains on the continent, which date back 33,000 years.
