There's the Second Commandment, for one:

"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in the heaven above [birds, clouds, planets], or that is the earth beneath [animals, bugs, trees, snakes, rocks, MEN], or that is in the water under the earth [fish, otters, whales]. Thou shalt not bow down to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me; and shewing Mercy unto thousands of them that Love Me and keep My Commandments." (Ex.20:4-6)

One has to marvel when people say that someone or some thing "looks like Jesus"... considering that no one has the foggiest notion what He looked like.

The only description The Bible really gives of Him is "how He looks today."

There is, of course, the Bible's description of "how He looks today":

"...standing among them was One who looked like Jesus who called Himself the Son of Man, wearing a long robe circled with a golden band across His chest. His hair was white as wool or snow, and His eyes penetrated like flames of fire. His feet gleamed like burnished bronze, and His voice thundered like the waves against the shore... and HIS FACE shone like the power of THE SUN in unclouded brilliance." (Rev.1:13-16 LVB Living Bible)

Of course... if someone should desire to have this biblical description of Jesus on display... it would have to be "an image of the sun" -- which then takes us back to the Second Commandment, which forbids [things in heaven above].

How many bible verses are spoken by God?

AnswerMany verses are spoken by God. For now, some people know the answer to the question you are asking. But what you are asking is literally impossible. There is obviously over 250 verses spoken by God. Rule out the obvious and you will discover the answer you are looking for! AnswerDon't forget: Jesus Christ is also God, so it must include every single verse spoken By Jesus. And don't forget the Holy Spirit. There are 3563 references just to "God" in the Bible, so it depends on where you are going to draw the line. Joh 20:31 but these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.Rom 10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.Eph 3:9 and to make all men see what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ;Col 1:14-18 KJV In whom [Jesus Christ] we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: (v.15) Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: (v.16) For by him [Jesus Christ] were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him [Jesus Christ] , and for him: (v.17) And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (v.18) And he [Jesus Christ] is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.Answer:The Bible is the WORD OF GOD -- so, EVERY WORD of the Bible "proceedeth out of the mouth of God."

How did Jesus get the Holy Spirit?

Jesus said it himself in the Bible that "I and my father are one" so whatever God possess He possess. Jesus was invested by the Holy Spirit by turning His soul in the direction of God. When you consider Jesus, you can say this is God, you can say He is the image of God, you can say the Holy Spirit is reflected in Him, and you can say He is a son of man, the child of Mary and Joseph.
