Yes, I have read in forums for the Diamante, that it is caused by the speed sensor mounted in the front wheel hubs. With a test meter and some knowledge, you can diagnose which one is going bad. New replacement hubs are said to go for about $400.00 each, where as used ones around $150.00 each. I own a 2002 Diamante and this problem shows up off and on daily. Personally I'm not worrying about it because it doesn't affect day to day driving. This car only has 62000 miles on on it, but runs like a champ. Good luck in your problem.
Loss of control
If someone has a problem with incontinence it could mean that they lose control of their bladder, or they lose control of their bowels. This is a common problem if someone suffers from dementia.
A common problem with all early model Diamante's (92-96)is the IAC or idle air contoller or idle stepper motor stops operating properly. If your D is idling rough or stops, look at the rpm gauge. If it falls below the normal range check the IAC.Replace with known good IAC and see if the problem persists. It's a quick and easy operation to change the IAC and will rule out this possiblity before causing you a headache and $$ down the drain.A bad IAC may lead to ECU problems over time.
The 1998 Mitsubishi Diamante has the most common hook-end wiper arms. See sources and related links below for installation videos. Also, purchase the replacement blades first and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through.
this is a common problem on these cars.....the distributor is likely the problem.

It depends on what the exact problem is. The most common problem of this type can be solved by replacing the drive belts. If this doesn't fix the problem, it's best to take the mower to a professional.
Check ignition switch, common problem.
