It depends on waht you are trying to swap. The same design was used from 91 to about 96, but there were changes along the way. THey are probably totally compatible till about 94, but Ford changed over to OBD2 control systems in about 95, which would have changed a lot of electronic stuff.
A tranny shifter cable may be compatible in the years "91 thru 2000. I would go to your local car salvage that is what they're there for.
It is difficult to say because in the year 96 they changed over from OBDI to an OBDII system. the 96 is the only 2nd generation Escort to use the OGDII system. In 97-02 they all use the OBDII system, but are third generation Escorts so it is doubtful if the ECM from one of these would fit a 96 Escort.
Type O is compatible with any other types (in that it can be donated to anyone). Type A is compatible ONLY with Type A and Type AB. Type B is compatible with itself and Type AB. Type AB is compatible with any of the others (it can receive from any of the other types).
O- is compatible with any blood type (giving to that type) AB+ can receive any blood. Other blood types are only compatible with themselves and not each other.
No.
No others are compatible in the sense of batteries.
The rears from any GM vehicle of any model year which has that same RPO code should be compatible.

The 2000 and 2001 Intrigue motors are it. The 02s are not completely the same, and the engine is so different from any other V6 GM made..
