As I'm sure you know, "Green Screen" allows the replacement of a scene background with any other scene, still or moving. There are both film and electronic versions of this. Blue is often used (and in the past was always used) as an alternative colour. There is also "Luminance Key" which is electronic, and simply replaces the white, or the black parts of an image with another. This obviously has its problems with live actors and sets because anything (either black or white - -depending on the choice made) is replaced with the background. For this reason its generally only used for things like captions and graphics. One completely different alternative is "FAP" although it's not used a lot. FAP stands for Front Axial Projection. I'll do my best to describe it. Basically, a static camera is set up. In front of the lens at a 45 degree angle is a half-silvered mirror. The mirrored surface is on the side away from the lens. A projector set up in front of the camera, to the side and at 90 degrees to it, projects the background scene into the mirror and directly down the line of sight of the lens. In order to get a bright-enough reflection, the background to the shot is covered with "Scotchlight" - the same stuff that is used on road signs - it reflects strongly back in the direction of the light. The result of this is anything put bwteeen the camera and lens casts a shadow - BUT the shadow is precisely behind the subject because the camera and projector (via the mirror) have exactly the same "view". Hope this helps!

What is Light Boost Technology?

It is a technology unique in LG's Cinema 3D that corrects for the light lost by its polarizing shutter system across the screen. Other active 3D systems do not have any shutter system on the screen and therefore lose no light.

How can you have a video game background if you are trying to make a human video game movie?

You are going to need what is called a "green screen" This is basically a large sheet of bright green, or any other uncommon color, cloth or fabric. The sheet can be of any size and any shape. Record your movie in front of the screen. For the editing, you can find many great green screen tutorials on youtube or other video sharing websites.

How does a blue screen of green screen work?

Well, first the actors are filmed in front of the green screen, and then later on when the video footage has been loaded into a computer, computer software is used to selectively remove all of the green from each frame of the video footage and allow the filmmakers to display in place of the green any image or video they want to put in place. The green removal process is called "keying".

What is the difference between a green screen and just a green sheet of fabric?

There is none. The point of a green screen is to create a single solid color so that the computer will have a "guide" as to what parts of the image you want replaced with another image. Technically, any color could be used, but green is usually considered to work best (blue is also a common choice). A light shade of green should be used and it should be as evenly lit as possible. Don't wear clothing or use props which are the same color as the screen. If you wear a green shirt in front of a green screen, you'll come out looking like a floating head.

In simple terms how does touch screen technology work?

Touch screen is an electronic display which enables one to connect directly with what is displayed, rather than using a mouse, keyboard, or any other intermediate device.

Can a blank wall be used like a green screen?

Sadly, no. Any software that has green screen capabilities cannot use a blank wall. Only green and blue screens will work. However, if your blank wall is completely green or blue and doesn't have many bumps on it, then it could be used like a green screen.

What are some different ways to make a green screen?

Green screen or chroma is based on the complementary color of your scene, green is the best complementary color for most skin tones and that is why is used. you also can use blue, depends on your scene, if every thing is black you can use white, if everything is green you can use red. Look for the chroma difference of your scene.

Why does the green screen in a movie HAVE to be green?

The majority of the time a green-screen or blue screen is used because those are the colors that there are the least of in a human's skin tone. Using colors that there are less of in the skin makes it easier for the compositing program to separate the background from the actors without messing up the skin tone. A screen used for keying (removing the color) can be any color, it could be green, blue, red, white, or even black (often used for explosions), it all depends on what is being shot. They tend to use green more because blue is very popular in clothes, so part of their body may be cut off, green is a less common colour.
